I worked as a PMRDF in Narayanpur district from 2012 to 2015. In these three years, we increased the reach of the flagship government schemes to entire Narayanpur block and in many areas of Orchha. Based on these efforts almost the entire district has now been covered by MGNREGS, Rural Housing, National Rural Livelihood Mission and other flagship schemes. It also gives me immense satisfaction to share that during this period our hard work on improving the delivery of the MGNREGS paid off and the district received Overall Performance Award under MGNREGS for 2013-14.
During my time as a PMRDF, I closely worked with 3 CEOs and 3 District Collectors and with district level officers of all the departments. It was an immense learning opportunity where I got exposed to various aspects of governance and on ground implementation. This time and experience has prepared me for my current and future endeavours in the development sector. It is my sincere belief that CMGGF can open similar doors for young professionals who are interested in delivering impact and being a part of this journey towards transforming Chhattisgarh.
I worked as a PMRDF in Sukma, Chhattisgarh. The experience gave me the opportunity to engage with multiple stakeholders and gain practical insights on how to strengthen the last mile delivery of government schemes. It equipped me with the required tool-kit for handling the challenges in diverse areas across the development sector.
I primarily focused on the Health and Nutrition sector during this period and the highlight of my fellowship was the establishment of the Livelihood College in Sukma.
I would like to state that it is extremely satisfying to work towards the empowerment of the most vulnerable population by understanding their problems and developing solutions for the same. At the end of the day, the fact that I made a small but meaningful contribution to the happiness & joy on their faces is a great feeling. The CMGGF offers the Fellows the chance to explore a life changing experience and one that would be meaningful and fulfilling.
